Printed by Ballantyne, Hanson & Co, England, with ten illustrations by John Jellicoe and Herbert Railton, published by John C Nimmo, London and out of New York, Charles Scribner's & Son in 1899. Authored by Ann Manning, author of Mary Powell, the Household of Sir Thos. More, and Cherry & Violet. 322 pages total. Donated to the Gilbert Hart Library in Wallingford Vermont by an unreadable named individual. Bound in green cloth with gilt lettering.

Notable issues: Sunning darkening to the spine with edge wear, chipping and some losses top and bottom. Covers show shelf wear, dirt, some darkening and discoloration with the cloth having minor wavy separation from the board. Edge chipping/losses, corner chipping, corner dings with front cover lower having foreign material on it. Binding is fair and intact with weaker loose areas. Pages are overall good with some wear to include foxing/spotting & tanning. Library decal inside front cover, dog ear and stain inside front cover & page, writing in the book, 2 blank page and inside front title page a hand written gift dedication.
