Antique Miniature Spotted Bird Carved Bone Asian Bird Okimono Figure 1 1/2" x 5/8"
Well executed hand carved bone miniature of a spotted bird of Asian origin. Most likely a Japanese okimono figure, could be Chinese or India in origin. The antique figure is carved of bone and contains painted black sports at the throat that carry around to the back of the neck. Painted lines accentuate the tail feathers and is balanced with the black painted beak. The feet on this bird are painted orange. Possible losses on the toes of the bird, difficult to say. Stands without issue. Measures right about 1 1/2" tip to tail and is about 5/8" high. A nice addition to your miniatures collection.
