1906 St Joseph's School MedalPlease do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item you are buying.
A nice rare 1906 gold medal from St Joseph's School. In the Edwardian style this school award do not specifically identify the state in which the school resides. I believe it is from Racine Wisconsin and may be from the first graduating class which was in 1906. Purely speculation on my part as the former owner could not tell me the history of the medal. These are hard to find, and rarely available for purchase.
The piece is rose gold and measures 1 1/2" high, 1" wide and is approx .45mm thick and weighs a total of 3.2 grams. The piece tests 10K gold, but I believe the piece is most likely a heavy gold filled piece and without damaging the piece, I simply cannot verify it is solid gold.
This piece will come with a shadow box for hanging display. The shadow box measures 5" x 4" x 1 1/2". It will not be setup for display, you will have to decide how you will display the piece in the shadow box.
