A nice example of a circa early 1900's traveler pocket watch by the American Waltham Watch Co. An unusual serial number suggesting this is an early model or some other such unusual thing with a serial number of 95980 stamped on the works. The works wind and run, though accuracy and working condition cannot be guaranteed. Works should be properly serviced. I believe this is a 16s 7 Jewel pocket watch.
The works are cased in a Nickel Silver Illinois Watch Case Co open face case. I cannot seamlessly get the case back on the case itself suggesting it may have been crossed at some point. I'm not going to force it. Works have not been removed from the case.
Please do review all of the photographs as I may have missed something.
Dial - In very good visual condition with hairlines in between the 5 & 6 and a fiaint at the 9.
Hands - In very good condition and look to have original bluing.
Works - Have not been removed from the case. Running as I type. Needs proper service. Accuracy not checked
Case - Crystal is plastic and scratched. the case has not been cleaned. Light surface scratches. Back cover, as noted, is not very cooperative and may be crossed. Crown and bow show acceptable wear levels.
