Interesting antique signet ring in a size 5.75. Band is decorated, though heavily worn, with traditional Edwardian period designs. The ring is hallmarked 10K and engraved Tusitala which according to Wikipedia is a genus of jumping spiders that was first described by George and Elizabeth Peckham in 1902. The name is Samoan, meaning "writer of stories". The original initials on the tablet are nearly gone and unreadable. Does make you wonder if this ring once belonged to Elizabeth Peckham given unusual use of the Tusitala engraved on the inside band of the ring or could have just been owned by a woman that knew how to weave tales. Either way, this antique ring has some history :)
