Antique Inlaid Chamfered Aluminum Men's Letter H Signet Ring Size 10.25
Please do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item you are buying.
Shows age and wear. Unknown inlay material - looks like amber, but untested. Looks to be hand chamfered. Some waviness to the inner band suggesting it was rolled into shape. Considerable wear for an aluminum ring. From a small Victorian jewelry box containing jewelry from the early 1840's to the Edwardian time period. I only assume this is from the Victorian era given there are no markings, the source, the wear and the design.
During the Victoria era, Aluminum was not easily refined and was considered more valuable than gold for a short period. The use of aluminum in jewelry was most popular in the 1870's to 1880's. An interesting piece and if period original, a rare ring. Please review the photographs and do you own research to make appropriate conclusions as to the age of the piece.
