Circa 1860 Victorian Faux Tortoise Shell Cameo High Relief Male in ProfileCirca 1860's, this is a very rare resin, molded, Victorian era high relief cameo made in two parts. The round wafer base was molded and polished and then the male figure was molded, polished and applied to the base. This needs restorative work. Do note - The images do not reflect the dullness to the surface, but should give you an idea as to how this should appear once properly restored.
The round base has lost its luster and will need to be professional attended to. The figure is loose and comes off and he to will need to be properly polished and reapplied to the base.
The t-bar mechanism is loose and again, will need to be properly attended to. Not a ton to be done to make this right, but it should be completed by a competent professional.
