Circa 1913 Solid Silver Agriculture Award by Leo Laporte Blairsy Tablet Form
A wonderful 1913 solid silver French plaque style medal by famed French sculptor Leo Laport Blairsy. This medal features a farmer working a filed with rooster and garden accents on one side. On the other side a shepherd & his sheep on a hillside is featured. The medal was awarded by The Ministere of Agriculture and is marked "Concours Central De Chateauroux 1913" & "Prix De Championat".
Unfortunately, I do not have the original presentation box for the medal. The medal does show some wear and has 3 minor corner edge dings that do not take away from the presentation.
This medal will arrive with a 7" x 4 3/8" x 1 1/2" shadow box frame for you displaying pleasure. Hardware for mounting of the medal into the shadowbox is not included, you'll have to work that out on your end :)
