Circa 1920 Antique Alligator Skin Tri Fold Wallet Billfold for Restoration or Repurpose
Antique, I am just not sure how old it is. Tri fold wallet or billfold for a man, Measures 4 1/2" high and about 8" across. Outer shell is alligator skin in a burgundy color showing a lot of wear. The outer pockets for what looks like calling cards on each side the thread is letting loose and will need tended to for each one. The inner material looks to be leather and again, the thread sewing the two layers together is letting loose and will need attending to.
Inside one of the slips was this note: Grateful remembrances of Ms Watson and (unreadable) 1910. It was left in the wallet, so I assume it was meant to stay with it so it comes with the wallet.
No noted maker that I could find. Button snap for the bills compartment does have some corrosion starting on the snaps.
