I have for sale a sterling silver Taxco TS-79 brooch. This is, for me, an interesting piece given Mexico's history with the catholic church. What you will see inspecting the front a 3 "ancient" or very old signs of the cross used in the Christian religion. They overlap and come together to create this piece. Interesting artistry that is accented with black enamel and abalone shell.
Now, I truly have no idea what the artist was thinking that designed this, I was just doing some research and noted the designed and what it was using. Could be just a random thing.
The front and back show wear consistent with being worn and stored. This piece can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. The pin on the back of this works fine but is a bit wonky in how it works.
This piece is marked 925, TS-79 & Mexico.
Given the amount of fake silver coming out of this region I like to point out that this piece has be x-ray analyzed for metal makeup and verified to be sterling silver.
